DAVENPORT, William D., 82, of Tampa, passed away December 21, 2010. He graduated from the University of Florida and served with the U.S. Coast Guard. Bill was a retired pharmacist and owner of Davenport Drug Stores in Tampa and Brandon, Fla., member of several civic organizations, and an active member of Idlewild Baptist Church. Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Davenport. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Davenport; daughters, Debra Novak (Matthew) and Theresa Mattson (Scott); step-sons, Steve Kemp and Clay Kemp (Rhonda); nine grand-children; and 12 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Idlewild Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
