Toby C. "Tim" Jarrard

Toby 'Tim' Jarrard, 80, of Jackson Township, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, after a long illness.  He was born on December 13, 1928 in Brimfield, Ohio to the late Homer C. and Nell E. Jarrard. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and World War II. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and was a charter member at Temple Baptist Church of Greensburg. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.  Besides his parents, Toby was preceded in death by his son, Timothy R. Jarrard; brothers, John Herbert Jarrard and Gilbert Jarrard; sister, Lucille Davis. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beatrice Jarrard; daughter, Lisa (Rick) Tew of Clinton; grandson, Matthew (Heather) Tew of Green; granddaughter, Rachelle (Sgt. Christopher, USMC) Rushton of Beaufort, S.C.; sisters, Jean (Tom) Miller of Dahlonega, Georgia, Diane (Dale) Dietz of Akron; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Rose Lane Health Center and Heartland Hospice for all their care and support.  Funeral service SATURDAY, 2 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) and where friends may call FRIDAY, 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Burial at Clinton Cemetery with Military Honors by VFW #9795. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 767 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 or Temple Baptist Church of Greensburg, 1212 Greensburg Rd., Uniontown, OH 44685.
