Ruby Beryl Myers

BARBERTON -- Ruby Beryl Myers (nee Bishop), born September 16, 1925, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2011, exactly one week after her husband entered heaven's gates.  She was born and raised in Kenmore, Ohio to Gertrude and Nicholas Bishop. Ruby was a member of Barberton First Baptist Church where she was active in both the Women's Circle Group and the Golden Aires for many years. Prior to her marriage to John, she worked at Sun Rubber and proudly served her country during World War II as a 'Rosie the Riveter' assisting in the assembly of B19 airplanes.  Ruby was a devoted wife to her husband and love of her life, 'John' for 63 years. She took pride in her two children, Linda and 'Ronnie.' She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was the happiest when surrounded by her family or reading her bible.  Preceded in death by her husband, John L. Myers, Ruby is survived by her children, John Ronald (Jeannie) Myers and Linda (Newman) Adair, all of Barberton; grandchildren, Nicole (Kevin) Smith of Hinckley, Ohio, Lori (Clint) Kushner of Jackson Township, Bridgette Myers and Zachary Hose of Barberton; great-grandchildren, Leo, Grace, Sydney and Amelia Smith; along with other family members and friends.  She will be deeply missed and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.  The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care for all the care and support that Ruby received.  Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Barberton First Baptist Church, 250 Sixth St., N.W., Barberton 44203, with Rev. Gregory Hogan officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends TONIGHT from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203.
