CANAL FULTON -- Rodger David Stewart, age 55, passed away at this home in Canal Fulton, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family, on February 8, 2010.  Rodger was born January 30, 1955 in Canton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Kyle Christopher Stewart, who knew him as “Frampa”; grandparents, Herbert and Kathryn Ellis and Samuel “Dewey” and Freeda Stewart, Grace Stewart Marsey; and sister-in-law, Lorene Hoosic.  He leaves behind, his wife of 33 years, Christine Stewart; son, Tony (Kristy) Stewart of Canal Fulton; twin daughters, Amy (Mike) Fye of Canal Fulton and Deanna (Aaron) Andes of Canton; also his two special grandsons, Tyler Anthony Stewart and Jack Thomas Andes; his devoted parents, James and Kay Stewart of Canal Fulton; beloved sister, Cheryl Stewart of Canton; in-laws, John and Dolores Hoosic of Manchester, Ohio, who loved him dearly; also brothers-in-law, George (Linda) Hoosic, Gene Hoosic and Gerard (Brenda) Hoosic; a special Great-Aunt, known to all as “Auntie” Geneva Hillyer; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and two great- nephews; in addition many wonderful neighbors and close friends.  Rodger's passion was golf, bowling and his computer. He was a big fan of the Three Stooges and playing the lotto. Rodger worked at Nickles Bakery in Navarre, Ohio for 30 years as a transport driver. He was a member of Teamsters Local #92. Rodger also served in the United States Air Force from 1975-1981.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010, 11 a.m. at the SWIGART-EASTERLING FUNERAL HOME, 624 East Cherry St. (RT. 93, Canal Fulton), Rev. Kathy Moody-Ardnt officiating. Calling hours Friday, 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to his family or Shelbi's Sweets and Treats at any Key Bank. Proceeds help childhood cancer.
