Pauline O. Bigler, 95, died Sunday, August 7, 2011. She was known to many friends and family as “Susie”. Born Pauline Odessa Milbourn on September 4, 1915 to Leila (nee Snell) and Charles Milbourn in Barberton, Ohio, she graduated from Barberton High School during the Great Depression. She married Howard A. Bigler of New Philadelphia in 1936. Howard worked in Akron at W.E. Wright Co. while Pauline cared for daughters, Marilyn and Ginny. Howard ultimately retired from Hardware and Supply in Akron. They made their home together in Kenmore more than 60 years, but remained active in Barberton. Howard served in National Lodge 568 F&AM, while Pauline served in Jeanette, then Anna Dean Chapter 595 OES. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Marceil and Corinne Landals; husband, Howard; daughter, Marilyn S. Athey and her husband, Tom Athey (aka Carl) of Suffield. Pauline is survived by daughter, Virginia Bigler-Engler (Dennis Engler); grandchildren, Wesley and Whitney Engler of San Diego, Calif. and grandson, Greg A. Athey (Melanine) of Hartville. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home. 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, 44203. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Anna Dean Chapter, 595 OES, Barberton 44203 or Livestrong Foundation, 2201 E.
