Marlene Marie Young

Marlene Marie Young, 69, of Canal Fulton, joined her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 with her family at her side.  She was a lifetime resident of Canal Fulton, having retired from Acme as a Floral Designer with 15 years of service. She was a member of SS Philip & James Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW #9795, Canal Fulton. She enjoyed her special friends, Dottie, Ruth, MaryLou, Martha and Sis. She liked to read, go on vacations, shopping and spending time with her family. She liked to craft and going to Christmas bazaars on the holidays. She was the most giving person in the world and she would help anyone who asked her. She had a very big heart and never forgot anyone. Her sister-in-law Rita was there for her everyday for anything that she needed. Marlene loved her so much, she would always say she did not know what she would do without her. Her family will miss her tremendously and all of the fun times, that they shared together. We love her so very much, but we know she is where she always wanted to be, with her life long love, Don.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Young; her parents, Harold and Pauline Freed; brother, Patrick Freed. She leaves her son, Don II (Cheryl), whom she dearly loved with all her heart; grandchildren, Alyssa, Patrick and Jason; brother, Donald Freed; sisters-in-law, Rita Jarvis and Mary Craft; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marlene loved her grandchildren very much and she will never be forgotten, for she was truly a wonderful person.  Mass of Christian Burial MONDAY, 10 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 N. High Street, Canal Fulton, with Fr. John Warner officiating. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. SUNDAY at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton).
