BARBERTON -- Julia Ruth (Gombos) Stasko, born January 5, 1932, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was a lifetime resident of Barberton, a devout Christian and attended the Akron Baptist Temple. Her passion in life was her family and friends. She opened her heart and door daily for love and conversation, because everyone was a treasure to her. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, John; father, Stephen; mother, Julia; five brothers and two sisters. She was a loving mother to daughters, Kathy Humphrey, Karen Edwards and Debbie Gosen and son, Michael (Brenda) Stasko. She leaves sisters, Florence Thomas, Delores Davis and Helen Dimitroff; special loving friends, Kate Utesch and Tim Price; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Phyllis and Monnie for their love and care. Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Avenue, Barberton 44203, with Deacon Michael Stasko officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours Sunday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
