NORTON -- Isabelle J. Witner, 85, passed away Friday, January 7, 2011. A life resident of the Barberton-Norton area, she attended Kent State University and graduated from the University of Akron with a teaching degree. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Barberton, where she served as a deacon and was head of the Soup Kitchen for many years; a member of Greenleaf Family Service, Pharmacy Auxiliary and Anna Dean Chapter #595 OES. Isabelle also enjoyed bowling, reading and playing cards. Preceded in death by her brother, Charles McCue; Isabelle is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jack; children, John (Debby), Nancy (Robin) Wendt, Tom (Andrea) and Lee (Debora); grandchildren, Heidi Wendt, Ian and Aaron Witner, Gabrielle, Alexander and Chelsea Witner; three great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Rosemary McCue. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Barberton, 636 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Rev. Jim Gilbert officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday 6 to 9 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 and also Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Barberton.
