Elizabeth P. Hudson

MUNROE FALLS -- Elizabeth (Betty) Hudson, 86, slipped through our hands into the arms of Jesus on November 1, 2011 with her family by her side. Cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, Betty was known for her unshakable belief in the importance of faith and family.  Born in Scottdale, Pa. in 1925, she raised nine children with her trademark determination and cheerfulness. To say that she lived for her family would be an understatement, as she created countless memories and relationships with the generations that followed her.  Preceded in death by her husband, Lavon Hudson, and son, Harry Hudson, she is survived by her children, William (Margie) Tarr, Sharon (John) Kovac, Linda (David) Arnold, Gordon Tarr, Melissa (John) Podrosky, Beth Volk, John Hudson, and Marjorie (Jon) Poda; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her deeply.  Betty Hudson will always be remembered for her generous heart, indomitable spirit, and unconditional love.  Calling hours will be Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at the Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44305. A private burial will take place next week.
