Colin L. Petrovich, 76, passed away March 23, 2010. She was born in Central Station, W. Va. to the late Charles and Opal (Chipps) Cavins and had been an Akron resident since 1973. She was a United States Air Force Korean War Veteran and had worked at Cardinal Fastener and Specialty before retiring from Master Bolt Manufacturing. She was also a member of the Church of Christ, Parkersburg, West Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terryle; sons, Richard Cogar, Terryle Petrovich, Jr. and Joseph Petrovich; grandson, Ryan Hysel; sister, Anna Dulaney; and brothers, Billy Jack Cavins, Andrew Cavins, Leslie Cavins, Samuel Cavins and Rodney Cavins. She is survived by her children, Colin (Ken) Whitacre, JoAnna Petrovich, Brandon Petrovich and John Petrovich; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Josie Davis, Doris (Earl) Bibby, Jessie Towner, Patricia McDonald, Tommy (Gene) Evans and Kitty Parsons; and brother, John Cavins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 1 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Vernon “Junior” Sammons officiating. Calling hours will be for two hours prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment in West Virginia.
